Age of Booty is a casual real-time multiplayer strategy game set in the swashbuckling era. Players take on the role of pirate captains, forming teams with other online players or AI-controlled ships to loot and capture towns. Through 25 unique challenges and seven Pirate Alliances, they must build their reputation by sinking enemies and stealing gold in order to upgrade their ship for dominance on the high seas. The intuitive map creation system allows users to create and share custom maps with friends, while up to eight players can join either over LAN or through an Internet connection for maximum competition. Developed by Certain Affinity led by Max Hoberman (the designer of Halo 2 & 3's multiplayer), Age of Booty offers tons of customizable options so that gamers can tailor gameplay experience according to their preference.
