Impossible Creatures is a classic 2003 real-time strategy (RTS) video game that was released on Steam as Impossible Creatures: Steam Edition in November 2015. The game takes place in a fictional 1930’s setting and players take control of an evil villain to progress through the single player campaign, or challenge other players online in multiplayer.

Players are able to genetically-alter animals to create the perfect mutant creations for their armies. This can be done by combining any two animals from a list of 76 available creatures (51 without downloads). Many of these creatures possess inherent abilities which add more strategic depth to the game. In addition, there are also various add-ons, custom maps, mods, scenarios and other features available for use.

The Steam Edition includes all previously released patches and expansion packs as well as reimplemented IC Online servers through Steam's cloud service and access to modding SDKs alongside the Mission Editor originally included within the game's files; potential Steam Workshop support is also being worked on. Furthermore, this version has been optimized for modern computer systems and software so that it runs smoothly even on newer machines with better graphics capabilities than before.
