It is the first true successor to 2004's Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, and builds on the styles of previous titles such as Persona, Devil Summoner and Devil Survivor. The story revolves around the Samurai, who are sacred protectors of the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado. Players take on the role of a newly appointed Samurai, who must defend their kingdom from an army of demons while struggling against factions that have nefarious designs on the world. Throughout the course of their journey they will be faced with many choices which will affect how events unfold; ultimately leading to either salvation or destruction for mankind.

Spore is a video game created by Will Wright, which takes players on an epic journey from the origin and evolution of life to the deepest reaches of outer space. Players start off as simple microbes in the Tidepool phase, learning how to survive while they evolve their creature with tools and abilities. They then progress through Tribal, City, Civilization and Space phases where they learn how to form tribes, build cities and civilizations, explore other planets and galaxies. Throughout each phase players can choose between different paths of peace or war as they strive for global unification. Along the way creatures will meet others evolved by other players that are shared over SPORE's central servers. All progress is tracked in a Sporepedia which captures all creatures met on this intergalactic adventure.
