Night In The Woods is a 2D story-focused adventure game that follows Mae, an anthropomorphic cat coming home to her small town of Possum Springs after dropping out of college. Players join Mae on her journey as she reunites with old friends and discovers the secrets of the town while exploring its many sides through running, jumping and astral projection. Along the way, players can take part in extracurricular activities such as playing bass or breaking stuff. A large cast of characters help bring life to this vibrant world full of remarkable events waiting for Mae to uncover.
