System Shock 2 is a first-person shooter video game that features both traditional elements found in shooters as well as unique elements that make it stand out. Players will find several gameplay elements such as logs, inventory, skills, persistent world, leaning, hacking and RPG-style character development. There are multiple weapons and enemies to fight against while the plot is always present but not so confining like most other shooters - there's usually more than one task to accomplish. The levels are designed realistically with logical reasons behind them and the player can drop items on one level and go back later to retrieve them. System Shock 2 continues this classic game design from its predecessor System Shock 1 giving players an immersive experience full of compelling storylines.
