Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is a first-person shooter video game for the PlayStation 2 console. Players can choose to fight for one of three military superpowers - The United States, China or the Middle East Coalition - in large and detailed environments from city streets to remote forests. Featuring over 30 vehicles such as tanks, helicopters and fast attack vehicles, players use modern weaponry including heat-seeking missiles and laser designated bombs with up to 24 other players in some of the largest online battles on the PS2. Voiceover communication is supported via USB headset. With in-game success, players increase their rank and garner promotions in a persistent online world.
