Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening is a hack and slash video game developed by Capcom. The story follows Dante, the son of Sparda, as he goes up against his twin brother Vergil in an attempt to prevent him from opening the gateway to the demonic world. Along his journey, he meets Arkham and Lady who both have their own missions involving demons. This prequel reveals insight into Dante's clouded past and adds new levels of gameplay with its style system which gives players four distinct playstyles - short-range, long-range, defensive or evasive - that can be upgraded for increased special attack abilities.

Devil May Cry 4 is a fast-paced action game set in the underworld, where a new protagonist named Nero encounters Dante, a hero who appears to be slaughtering countless people. Long ago, the Dark Knight Sparda rose up against an evil emperor and saved humanity. In present day Fortuna, an Order of the Sword worships Sparda and seeks to rid the world of demons. As Nero rises through their ranks he witnesses Dante's killing spree and questions whether the renowned devil hunter has turned his back on mankind. Players control Nero as he comes to grips with his own powers in this fight for justice and allegiance. The game includes exciting new combat systems incorporating Devil Bringer which allows players to deliver massive damage with non-stop combos while gaining power for Nero’s arm.
