Sea of Solitude is a video game that takes players on an emotional journey with a young woman, Kay, who has transformed into a monster due to her loneliness. Players explore the flooded cityscape and meet fantastical creatures and monsters - each with their own stories of loneliness - as they help Kay understand the darkness within herself. With light and color shining into the world, water levels rise and fall to reflect Kay’s state of mind as she confronts these monsters in order to solve puzzles and rid the world of tainted memories. Through this personal journey, players learn what it truly means to be human.
