You can choose to fight your way through an epic narrative campaign or test yourself in the Slaughter and Blood Race modes.

The main story of Zombie Driver HD takes place in a city overrun by hordes of zombies. As the player's character, it is up to you to save as many survivors as possible while also eliminating any zombie threats that come your way. To do this, you must drive around in various vehicles ranging from sports cars to school buses while shooting at anything that moves with an arsenal of weapons such as machine guns and rocket launchers.

In addition to the story mode there are two other ways to play: Slaughter Mode and Blood Race Mode. In Slaughter Mode players must survive waves of enemies with increasingly difficult objectives until they are overwhelmed or have completed all 50 levels available. Blood Race on the other hand is more focused on racing; Players compete against AI opponents both human and zombie alike for first place in a variety of missions including time trial races, destruction derbies and checkpoint runs among others.
