Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late is the latest installment in the popular fighting game franchise from Sega and French-Bread. The game features a brand new cast of characters, each with their own unique story that spins around modern fantasy. The arcade version was released in Japan on September 20, 2012, while a major revision titled Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late was released on September 9, 2013 for arcades and PlayStation 3 systems in Japan.

The North American release date of March 31, 2015 has been revealed by GameStop's website, but Aksys Games later announced that it would actually be releasing on February 24th instead. This version will feature all original Japanese voices with no English dubs available for Western releases. Players who preorder the title before its launch will receive an exclusive limited edition soundtrack CD featuring music from the game’s composers as well as artwork cards featuring some of the game's main characters.

In addition to this console release, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late was also released on Steam for Microsoft Windows systems worldwide on July 12th 2016. This version offers online versus mode so players can compete against each other over Steam or locally using two computers connected over a LAN connection if they wish to do so without requiring any extra hardware setup such as consoles or fight sticks like you'd need when playing offline modes (i.e., training mode).
