All about game Track & Field
Track & Field is a classic arcade game that has been around since 1983, and still holds up today as one of the most iconic and beloved games in the genre. Originally developed by Konami, Track & Field was released as part of their Olympic series which included great titles such as Hyper Sports.
The game consists of six different events where players are tasked with testing their reflexes over a variety of sports-based challenges. The events include sprinting (100m Dash), Long Jump, Javelin Throw, High Jump, Hammer Throw and 110m Hurdles. Players control an athlete using two buttons to make them run or jump while competing against computer opponents or other human players in either a single event or all six at once for maximum points.
The simple gameplay mechanics based on quick button presses set the standard for sequels and similar games in the genre for decades afterwards - proving just how ahead of its time Track & Field really was. Over thirty years after it's initial release this pioneering title feels just as fresh today as when it first came out due to its fast paced action packed gameplay that never gets old no matter how many times you play it.
If you're looking for an exciting way to bring some retro gaming into your life then look no further than Track & Field; an enduringly popular classic that will have you coming back again and again!
