Set in 395 AD at the very dawn of the Dark Ages, players are thrust into a world of apocalyptic turmoil and must decide how far they will go to survive. Will they sweep oppression from the world and create their own barbarian or Eastern kingdom? Or will they stand against the coming storm as one of the last remnants of Rome's Empire?

Total War: Attila features turn-based strategy with real-time tactics, meaning that players can plan out their strategies while still reacting quickly to changing battlefield conditions. The game also offers detailed graphics that bring its ancient setting to life. Players can command massive armies consisting of thousands of troops, take part in intense siege battles, use diplomacy or subterfuge to further their cause, and more!

Players can choose from a variety of factions including Huns, Romans, Visigoths, Ostrogoths and more. Each faction has its own unique strengths as well as challenges associated with it--for example Huns have powerful mobility but limited resources due to their nomadic lifestyle; meanwhile Romans have strong infrastructure but low morale caused by years under oppressive rule. As such each faction presents different opportunities for success depending on which strategy you pursue.
