The Witcher, the beloved video game based on the novel series by Andrzej Sapkowski, has gained a large following since its release in 2007. Set in a fantasy world of monsters and magic, The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia – an amnesiac witcher (problem solver and slayer of monsters) whose home citadel Kaer Morhen is under siege by an organization called Salamandra.

Players control Geralt as he navigates through his unfamiliar past while facing moral dilemmas along the way. He must also use his witcher skills to track down the Salamandra who are responsible for stealing valuable potions from Kaer Morhen. Aiding him on his journey is his trusty steed Roach – whom players can customize with various armor sets – and magical abilities such as signs which allow Geralt to cast spells like Igni which releases fire or Yrden which creates a magic circle that traps enemies inside it.

Throughout this thrilling adventure, players will come across vibrant characters including Triss Merigold who helps Geralt uncover secrets about himself; Vesemir - Kaer Morhen’s eldest and most experienced witcher; and Ciri - a young girl with mysterious powers who serves as Gerald's adopted daughter-like figure throughout part of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt portion of the game trilogy.
