The Sims: Vacation is the fourth expansion pack from the popular life simulation video game series, The Sims. It was released in 2002 and gave players a new way to enjoy their virtual lives - by taking vacations! This expansion introduced new characters, items, features, and most importantly – Vacation Island – where players could take their Sim families on holiday or with other Sims.

Vacation Island is split into three distinct environments: beach, forest and snow-capped mountain. Here players can purchase or find souvenirs to take home with them as a reminder of their vacation. They also have the option to stay at one of the luxurious hotels available or rent out an igloo/tent for a more rustic experience.

Another great feature that this expansion offers is that it allows you to save your game while your Sim is away on vacation. This means that you don’t need to worry about playing catch up when they return back home! You can keep track of all their activities during their time away such as swimming in the ocean or building sand castles at the beach. And if you ever get bored with Vacation Island there are plenty of extra bonus areas around like fishing spots and hot air balloon rides for added adventures!
