The Devil Inside is a third-person action horror game that follows the story of Dave, an average man with a dark secret. He finds himself thrust into a cruel television reality show in which he must please the audience by killing monsters. In order to do this, Dave has access to both his human form and Deva, his female demonic alter ego.

Players can switch between Dave and Deva at specific points throughout each stage. While playing as Dave, players will be able to use guns equipped with laser sights while playing as Deva they'll cast spells that require magic points which are restored by consuming souls left from defeated enemies or float in the air and regenerate her health under specific circumstances.

In addition to fighting off enemies, The Devil Inside also features puzzle-solving elements where players have to figure out how to progress through stages using various items scattered around them such as keys or switches that open doors or activate mechanisms.
