Disaster Report is a video game where you play the role of a newspaper reporter who finds themselves stuck on an island that has been hit with severe aftershocks following a major earthquake. The object of the game is to escape and uncover as much information about the destruction of Capital City as possible. It soon becomes clear, however, that while nature can be dangerous, it may also be less threatening than upsetting those in power and revealing their secrets.

Developed by Irem, it follows the story of a reporter who must survive and escape an artificial island that is slowly collapsing due to periodic earthquakes.

Players will be tasked with navigating their way through crumbling buildings and debris while trying to find a way out of this dangerous situation. In addition to finding your own survival route off the island, you'll also need to investigate why this disaster occurred in order to complete your mission as a reporter. To do so, you'll have access to various tools such as binoculars for scouting areas from afar. You can also interact with other characters on the island for clues or assistance during moments when danger looms nearby.

One unique feature about Disaster Report is its sense of realism in terms of how players respond differently depending on whether they choose selfish or altruistic actions throughout their playthrough.
