Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins is the sequel to Tenchu, and it takes us back to a time before the events of its predecessor. You play as either Ayame or Rikimaru, two faithful and honorable ninja whose lord is beset by civil war in his domain. As you near completion of your training, you are tasked with aiding your lord against this existential threat.

The game itself is a 3D third person stealth action game that rewards players for efficient movement as well as silence. This extra feature makes it harder to get better items since you have to be both quiet and precise in your movements; failure can mean death or capture at any moment! The environment has also been improved from the previous title with more interactive elements like birds flying away when startled and guards being alerted if they catch sight of something strange – adding another layer of challenge.
