All about game Super Monkey Ball

Super Monkey Ball is a classic 2001 platform party video game developed by Amusement Vision and published by Sega. The game was first introduced in Japan at the 2001 Amusement Operators Union trade show as "Monkey Ball", and featured an arcade cabinet that ran on Sega's NAOMI hardware, controlled with a distinctive banana-shaped analog stick.

The title proved to be so popular that it soon made its way onto the Dreamcast home console, however due to the failure of Sega's Dreamcast home console and eventual restructuring, an enhanced port dubbed Super Monkey Ball was released as a launch title for the Nintendo GameCube in late 2001. Super Monkey Ball quickly gained attention due to being Sega's first game released for a Nintendo home console since their partnership had ended years prior.

Conceived by Amusement Vision head Toshihiro Nagoshi, Super Monkey Ball involves guiding one of four monkeys (AiAi, MeeMee, Baby or GonGon) from inside a transparent ball across various maze-like platforms without falling off or letting the timer reach zero before reaching the goal of each level. In addition to single player mode there are also several multiplayer modes which include independent minigames as well as extensions of the main single-player gameplay experience which can be enjoyed with up to 4 players simultaneously using split screen displays.

Since its initial release almost 20 years ago Super Monkey Ball has become something of an iconic classic amongst gamers old and young alike thanks largely in part to its simple yet highly addictive nature coupled with bright colorful visuals accompanied by catchy music making it both easy and fun for anyone regardless age or skill level.
