John Woo Presents Stranglehold is an action-packed video game that takes players on a thrilling journey in search of Inspector Tequila's kidnapped daughter. Developed by Midway Games, the game features martial arts star Chow Yun-Fat in the role of Inspector Tequila and offers exciting gameplay with plenty of opportunities to earn style points.

The story mode sees players take control of Tequila as they fight their way through various cities such as Hong Kong and Chicago to locate the missing child who is held captive by mafia members and gangsters. The environments within the game are fully destructible and interactive, allowing for plenty of thrilling shootouts between Tequila and his enemies. Players can also perform impressive moves while shooting such as running up banisters, which will reward them with style points that can be used to execute powerful moves such as the 'Tequila Bomb' or enter into 'Tequila Time'.
