Song of the Deep is an exciting metroidvania-style action-adventure video game developed by Insomniac Games. It follows a young girl’s quest into the unknown to find her missing father, diving deep into a mysterious underwater world full of danger and adventure.

Players control Merryn, a brave young girl living in an Irish fishing village with her widowed father. After losing contact with him while he was out at sea one day, she sets off on a daring journey in a homemade submarine to search for him. Along the way, she discovers strange creatures and ruins from long forgotten civilizations as well as powerful artifacts that help her progress through the depths of this unknown world.

Gameplay focuses largely on exploration and puzzle solving within its 2D side scrolling environment. Players must use their wits and skills to navigate treacherous terrain while also upgrading Merryn’s submersible along the way – equipping it with new weapons such as torpedoes or shields for protection against enemies encountered below the surface. As players explore further down they will discover upgrades for their submersible which will open up further areas allowing them access to more secrets beneath the waves!

With beautiful hand drawn visuals combined with lush music composed by Tom Salta (Halo Wars), Song of The Deep provides an immersive experience - inviting players into its unique aquatic world full of mystery and wonderment around every corner!
