Return to Monkey Island, the long-awaited follow-up to the legendary Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge by Ron Gilbert's Terrible Toybox in collaboration with Devolver Digital and Lucasfilm Games, is coming 2022! This eagerly anticipated game will bring fans back into the world of pirate adventure that was so beloved in its predecessors.

The original two games were a huge success for LucasArts when they released during the early 1990s. Players followed Guybrush Threepwood as he faced off against his nemesis LeChuck while searching for treasure and unraveling mysteries on Mêlée Island. Now, fans will have an opportunity to return to this world thanks to Return To Monkey Island.

This new installment promises plenty of classic humor from Gilbert alongside some fresh additions from Devolver Digital’s modern sensibilities. Players will be introduced (or reintroduced) to familiar characters such as Elaine Marley, Wally B., Voodoo Lady, Meathook and more as they join Guybrush in his quest for greatness among buccaneers on Mêlée Island once again. Fans can expect plenty of puzzles along with hilarious dialogue and music that made these classic adventures iconic throughout gaming history.

While much remains unknown about what awaits players during their return visit to Mêlée island, one thing is certain – it’ll be packed full of exciting challenges that only a true pirate could handle! With its scheduled 2022 release date approaching near quickly, eager adventurers won't have too much longer before they get their hands on Return To Monkey Island - but until then we'll just have to wait patiently... Arrrrgh!!
