All about game Project Gotham Racing
Project Gotham Racing (PGR) is one of the longest running and most beloved racing games in gaming history. Developed by Bizarre Creations and published by Microsoft for the Xbox console, PGR was an instant success upon its launch as an Xbox launch title back in 2001. Despite being a spiritual successor to Sega Dreamcast's Metropolis Street Racer game, PGR quickly became the second best-selling game for the Xbox after Halo: Combat Evolved, proving that it could stand on its own two feet without relying on any past successes.
As a racing game, PGR focuses heavily on driving skill over speed or luck. Players must master the various tracks using their driving skills to earn Kudos Points which can be used to purchase new cars and progress through each track’s difficulty level. The more Kudos you earn from performing stunts such as drifting around corners or jumping off ramps at high speeds, then better your rewards will be at completing each race successfully. As players become better drivers they will also unlock special courses based on real world cities such as London, New York and Tokyo giving them even more variety when playing Project Gotham Racing.
In addition to its excellent single player campaign mode where players compete against AI opponents with increasing levels of difficulty; Project Gotham Racing also includes online play with up to 8 other human racers which added a whole new level of excitement for gamers who wanted some serious competition when playing this classic title.
Finally showing how much love Microsoft still has for this classic franchise; Project Gotham Racing is now compatible with the Xbox 360 through a downloadable update released July 12th 2010 allowing old time fans and newcomers alike to experience this classic racer once again!
