For many gamers, the news of a re-imagined next-gen take on Perfect Dark being developed by The Initiative, part of Xbox Game Studios, should come as exciting news. First released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64 system and later ported to other platforms such as the Xbox 360 and PC’s, Perfect Dark has been an iconic game with fans all over the world.

The original Perfect Dark was a first person shooter game that followed Joanna Dark (codename “Perfect Dark”) who is recruited by an organization known as Carrington Institute to investigate dataDyne Corporation’s suspicious activities. She then discovers evidence that DataDyne are responsible for numerous illegal experiments and plans to launch a full scale invasion of Earth using alien forces from another dimension. In order to prevent this from happening, Joanna must battle her way through various levels located across multiple planets while uncovering secrets about DataDyne's motives along the way.

This time around however it seems like The Initiative will be taking players back into their beloved universe but with some exciting new features thanks to today's technology advancements. We can expect more realistic graphics than ever before which will bring us even closer into this unique world filled with aliens and advanced technology alike! Of course there will also be updated gameplay mechanics such as improved AI enemies or expanded weapon customization options allowing you to truly customize your experience when playing Perfect Dark: Next Gen Edition.

Furthermore we can probably anticipate even more storyline twists up ahead since The Initiative promises players an “all new narrative journey in Joanna's shoes" so no doubt they have something special planned for us! With Microsoft backing them up financially it certainly looks like we'll be getting one helluva ride once this title sees its release date hopefully sooner rather than later!
