The game starts off with Cassie arriving at Echo Bluff Estate in Gloucester Massachusetts. Her mission is to uncover the dark secrets hidden within its walls while exploring different locations such as the manor house and gardens. To do so, she must rely solely on echolocation - using sound waves to reveal objects around her - as well as astute observation and deduction skills to make sense of what lies ahead.

As Cassie explores further into the forgotten mansion grounds she discovers more about its sinister past including information about a deadly supernatural force called "the Presence."
