Parasite Eve II is an action role-playing survival horror video game released exclusively for the PlayStation. This sequel to Parasite Eve brings with it a new story and tons of new features that make this one a thrilling ride from start to finish.

The story in Parasite Eve II picks up several years after the events of the original game, where Aya Brea returns as the playable character. She is quickly thrust into another outbreak of Mitochondrial creatures, which have taken over a small town in Arizona called Dryfield. It’s up to Aya Brea to investigate what’s going on and put an end to this strange occurrence before more people get hurt or killed.

Gameplay diverges greatly from its predecessor: battles take place in real time and players are given much more freedom than before as they explore both indoor and outdoor areas throughout Dryfield. Additionally, many traditional elements of survival horror games such as ammunition conservation, item management, puzzle solving, backtracking through previously explored areas all come into play here, but there are still some RPG elements at work too like experience points gained by defeating enemies that can be used to upgrade weapons or abilities.

In terms of graphics and visuals, Parasite Eve II looks great on the PlayStation thanks to its pre-rendered backdrops and detailed character models; however it does suffer from some slowdowns due to its ambitious use of 3D graphics during battle sequences - something that was quite common during this era for Playstation games.. Despite these minor issues though overall Parasite Eve II still holds up today as one helluva entertaining adventure!
