All about game Nostalgia
Nostalgia is a rhythm game in Konami's BEMANI franchise that offers players an exciting new way to experience music. This game, the first in the Nostalgia series, is a spiritual successor of Konami's Keyboardmania series and features a piano-based mechanic. Players must press certain keys on their keyboard when falling bars cross the judgement line. As they play along with each song, three different types of notes - normal note (played as usual), slide note (sliding your hand across) and trill note (rapidly pressing two neighbouring notes alternately) - will appear for you to hit.
The keyboard consists of 28 keys but unlike real keyboards, it does not include black keys as this was seen as too difficult during location testing and would make it less accessible than other games in the BEMANI franchise. To further improve accessibility for everyone regardless if they know Japanese or not, Nostalgia includes story mode communicated only through animated cutscenes without any spoken word. The entire game song list consists of 83 songs which are available to choose from so you can enjoy them all!
Overall, Nostalgia is an enjoyable rhythm game that has been designed with accessibility at its core making it perfect for both experienced gamers looking for something new or those who have never touched a rhythm game before! With its unique mechanics and story mode paired with interesting soundtracks, this game certainly lives up to its namesake - nostalgia!
