Napoleon Dynamite: The Game is a video game based on the popular 2004 film of the same name. Developed by Vivendi Universal Games, it was released for Nintendo DS and Wii on October 30th, 2007.
The game follows Napoleon's adventures in his hometown of Preston, Idaho as he helps his friends solve various problems around town. Players can play as either Napoleon or one of his three best friends: Pedro (Jon Heder), Kip (Aaron Ruell) and Deb (Tina Majorino). As they progress through the game, players will complete missions to help other characters in town while also unlocking new locations like Grandma’s House and City Hall.
Gameplay consists mostly of mini-games that require players to use their stylus/controller to perform actions such as taming wild animals, fishing for trout with dynamite or playing tetherball against Kip. With each mission completed comes rewards such as money which can be used for purchasing items from local stores around town including Uncle Rico’s RV and Lyle’s Storehouse.
