In Edna & Harvey: The Breakout, players take control of Edna as she wakes up in a padded cell in an insane asylum with no memories of the past. Together with her speaking stuffed toy bunny Harvey, they attempt to escape while encountering various oddball inmates like the Man in the Bee's costume and Siamese twins Hoti and Moti. As she regains her memories of the past, however, Dr. Marcel will do everything he can to stop them from succeeding. Players must navigate their way through puzzles and obstacles to help Edna break out of prison and uncover what sinister scheme is afoot.

Edna & Harvey: The Breakout is an adventure game created by German developer Daedalic Entertainment. Released in 2008 for Windows and Mac, the game follows a young girl named Edna and her toy rabbit as they attempt to escape from a mental hospital.

Players of the game must use their wits and logic to solve puzzles, while exploring the 2D world that Edna inhabits. The bottom of the screen displays a list of verbs which can be used in combination with one another to help progress through each level.

The concept for Edna & Harvey: The Breakout was originally developed during Daedalic's time at university in Germany, where it received outstanding reviews from gamers alike. By comparison however, when released into English speaking markets a few years later, reception was less than glowing; receiving average scores due primarily to its sloppy translation work.

Despite this somewhat lukewarm reception upon release though, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout has since gone on to become something of cult classic amongst old-school point-and-click puzzle fans - with many still enjoying its unique blend of humour and challenging gameplay today!
