Mission: Impossible is an action-adventure video game based on the 1996 film of the same name starring Tom Cruise. The game was originally released for Nintendo 64 in 2000, and later ported to the PlayStation with minor additions such as voice acting. The game follows a similar plot to the movie where Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) must complete numerous missions while infiltrating international criminal organizations.

The gameplay consists of completing various objectives set forth throughout each level, such as picking locks or disabling security systems, all while avoiding detection from guards and cameras. Players are also able to use gadgets found throughout each mission that can help them get past certain obstacles or provide extra protection from enemies.
