Men of Valor is a video game based on the Vietnam War. The player takes control of an American marine who must complete historically accurate missions throughout the conflict, from early stages to the Tet Offensive. Different roles are available, such as pilot rescues, recon patrols, POW rescue and search-and-destroy operations. Players will also have to man door guns on helicopters, navigate riverboats through enemy-infested shores and fight their way through enemy tunnel complexes while calling down fire as a forward observer.

Set during 1965, you play as Dean Shepard – a fresh recruit with no combat experience other than basic boot camp training at Parris Island, SC. As part of your platoon, you will be fighting against North Vietnamese Army (NVA) and Vietcong forces throughout several real-life historic locations associated with the war. These include Hue City, Khe Sanh Combat Base and even the Ho Chi Minh Trail itself!

Gameplay consists mainly of first/third-person shooter missions where you must complete objectives such as rescuing POWs or destroying enemy targets while avoiding being killed yourself! There are also vehicular segments for when things get too hot on foot – allowing players to take control of tanks or helicopters to turn the tide in their favor.
