All about game MechAssault
MechAssault is a video game that revolutionized the BattleTech universe and changed the way we play games on consoles. The first MechAssault was released in November 2002 for Xbox, developed by Day 1 Studios and published by Microsoft. This game marked the beginning of an era where console gamers could finally enjoy a proper BattleTech experience from their living room couches.
MechAssault brought forth many unique features that had never been seen before in this type of game genre. Players were able to battle with giant mechs within fully destructible environments, creating a new level of realism and intensity that hadn't been experienced before. With its open-ended mission structure, customizable mechs and intuitive controls, MechAssault quickly became one of the most popular Xbox titles at the time – it even won GameSpot's "Best Shooter" award in 2003!
The success of Mechassault paved way for its sequel - Mechassault 2: Lone Wolf - which was released two years later on December 28th 2004. While sharing similar mechanics as its predecessor, this installment featured an all-new single player campaign set 20 years after the original story arc ended; introducing fresh characters along with new weapons and abilities to customize your mechs even further than ever before!
Since then, there have been many spin off titles such as Mech Assault Phantom War (2006), but none have achieved quite so much cultural impact or critical acclaim as the originals did back during their release days over 15 years ago now – proving just how revolutionary these games were at their core!
