Kessen III is the latest installment of the Kessen franchise, and marks its return to Japanese history and aesthetics. The game is set in the middle of the Sengoku or warring states period where chaos has consumed Japan. Players follow Nobunaga Oda, a young teenager with an extravagant appearance and unconventional attitude as he stands against legions of warriors to restore order in his land. Game features include non-linear stage selection, officer and troop development system, ability to equip officers with over 450 weapons, helmets and samurai armor accompanied by 120 minutes of movie sequences scored by Reijiro Koroku's stirring musical score.
