Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee, also known as Minna No Golf and Everybody’s Golf, is a video game featuring a cast of colorful characters. Players can select from a wide range of golfers to customize abilities, attributes and appearance before playing across challenging courses and game modes. The WiFi Ad Hoc Mode allows for head-to-head play with friends or foes in order to become the greatest golfer around. This edition features six new courses, classic venues, favourite characters from the Hot Shots series, gala golf tournaments and challenges that can be played by connecting multiple PSPs via wireless network.

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee is the fifth game, and first portable golf title, in the Everybody's Golf series. Developed by Clap Hanz and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2005, Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee was exclusively released for PlayStation Portable (PSP). The game features a unique cartoon-style graphics that sets it apart from other golf titles available at the time.

The main gameplay of Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee involves playing various courses in either Stroke Play or Skins Match mode with up to four players. In Stroke Play mode, players compete against each other while trying to get as low score as possible; while in Skins Match mode, players compete against each other by collecting points based on their performance on individual holes. Additionally, players can challenge computer opponents or engage in tournaments online via Wi-Fi connection.

The character creation system of Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee allows users to create their own custom golfer using several customization options such as face shape, hair color/style and clothing type/color. Players earn experience points when playing matches which allow them to increase stats such as power drive distance or putting accuracy through practice rounds at special driving ranges and putting greens available throughout the game world. Other activities include mini-games such as "Pinbreaker," where players hit balls towards pins arranged around a course's green area; "Tee Off Challenge," where they must complete tasks within a certain amount of shots; and "Speed Course," an obstacle course like mini-game with fast paced action requiring accurate timing skills from its participants
