It's been seven long years since Juan Aguacate, a humble agave farmer from the small Mexican village of Pueblucho, faced off against Carlos Calaca and saved the world. Now he must don his luchador mask once again as an even bigger threat looms on the horizon – this time to the very fabric of space and time! Guacamelee! 2 is an action-adventure platformer game developed by Drinkbox Studios for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and MacOS that picks up where its predecessor left off.

Players take control of Juan who sets out on a quest to save the Mexiverse from an ancient evil known as Salvador. Along with new playable characters such as Tostada and Siete Cuervos (both have their own unique abilities) players will be able to explore a whole new Metroidvania style open world packed full of surprises. The game also features local co-op support which allows two players to work together in order to progress through levels or solve puzzles using each character’s special skillset.

The combat system has also seen some improvements allowing for more fluid combos and power moves while facing off against hordes of enemies ranging from skeletons to giant chickens. Players can also use magical masks called “Intenso” which grant them invincibility for short periods of time as well as adding extra damage when used in combo attacks. With over 10 hours of content including intense boss fights, tricky puzzles and secret areas filled with loot it promises plenty of replay value too!
