This installment of the popular franchise will be launching on PC first, before making its way to consoles later down the line. The game takes place twelve years before the original Gears of War and centers around a new squad that players can customize for their own playstyle.

The game focuses on tactical combat against Locust forces from both up close and afar. Players will have to use different strategies depending on what enemies they face in order to come out victorious. They’ll also need to make sure their squad is equipped with all necessary weapons, abilities and items needed for battle.

Players will also get a chance to upgrade their squad as well by unlocking new skills, equipment and characters through progression systems within the game.
