Fracture is a video game set in the mid-2100s, where global ecological and seismological chaos has caused the US to be split in two. The East, known as the Atlantic Alliance, relies on cybernetics technology while the Western states of Pacifica have resorted to genetic restructuring of its inhabitants. In 2161, an epic conflict is sparked between these two sides with Mason Briggs at its center using terrain-deforming weaponry to gain strategic advantage. Both sides possess superhuman abilities resulting in balanced yet stylistically different combat tactics that make this game unique from all others.

Fracture is a 2008 video game developed by Day 1 Studios for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. Set in 2161, global warming has caused the U.S. to split into two nations: The Atlantic Alliance (the former East Coast) and the Republic of Pacifica (the former West Coast). Fracture follows Jet Brody, a soldier for the Atlantic Alliance as he battles against forces from Pacifica led by General Sheridan, who was formerly an Alliance commander himself.

The gameplay in Fracture is focused on using terrain manipulation to gain strategic advantages over enemies. In addition to traditional weapons such as rifles and rocket launchers, players can also use "terrain deformation" abilities that allow them manipulate their environment like never before. For example, players can raise or lower landmasses which can be used to create walls or trenches that provide cover from enemy fire or paths for advancing troops. Players can also collapse mountainsides onto opponents in order to crush them while taking minimal damage themselves due to being safely out of range of any debris created by collapsing mountainsides. Another ability allows players to launch grenades below ground level so they explode beneath unsuspecting targets with devastating effect!

In addition to its innovative approach towards combat tactics, Fracture features stunning visuals along with several different single player modes including Campaign Mode and Challenge Mode where gamers must complete objectives within set time limits in order earn rewards such as new weapons or upgrades for existing ones..
