Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates is an upcoming top-down isometric role playing game that is sure to please fans of classic story driven RPGs from the 90s. The combat system in Empyre features a hybrid Real Time/Turn-based System, giving players complete control over their party while providing them with an efficient and streamlined experience.

In Planning Mode, players will be able to pause combat and choose actions for each character in their party one at a time. When entering Action Mode, all characters will perform simultaneously, eliminating the need to wait for each character’s turn as in traditional turn-based games. This new system promises fast paced action without sacrificing tactical depth or strategic planning. Players can expect intense battles with enemies ranging from human raiders to mutated creatures spawned by ancient gods.

The world of Empyre takes place in a post apocalyptic future where New York City has been flooded by rising sea levels due to global warming. Players take on the role of survivors trying to reclaim what was lost and rebuild civilization amidst this chaotic landscape full of danger and adventure.
