De Blob is an action-adventure video game where the player takes control of a blob and uses it to restore color to a dystopian city. The main antagonist of the game are the Leech Bots, machines/creatures that extract color from the city. To defeat them, de Blob crushes them in order to absorb their pigment/paint and use it to paint everything it touches. Additionally, players must also take on agents from the evil INKT Corporation who want the world devoid of any kind of color. Rolling, bouncing and crushing are de Blob's weapons as he explores diverse cityscapes while completing levels as a superhero transforming hostile cities into vibrant places full of life with creative activities and puzzles giving immediate rewards throughout gameplay. Rewards can be points, time, environmental improvements or unlocking additional content from Art Gallery after successful completion of challenges via single-player campaign or multiplayer split screen mode for two to four competitors with sprint challenges offering short bursts for skill-based objectives.
