The game follows Strife, one of the Horseman, as he battles his way through hordes of demons and angels on his mission from Hell and back. Players get to explore this world before the events of the original Darksiders game in all its chaotic glory with guns blazing and swords swinging.

Darksiders Genesis is an action role-playing game set in the Darksiders universe. Players take control of Strife, one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, as he embarks on a quest to save humanity from destruction at the hands of Lucifer. The game features intense combat and exploration with puzzle-solving elements and epic boss battles that fans have come to expect from this beloved franchise.

In addition to its signature top-down perspective, Darksiders Genesis introduces serpent holes which allow players to travel between Heaven and Hell while exploring both realms for secrets and rewards. As they progress through each world they will be able to upgrade their weapons and armor using loot collected in battle or purchased from merchants throughout their journey.
