Clockwork Aquario is an unfinished game from the legendary Westone Bit Entertainment, thought to be lost in time until recently. Thanks to Strictly Limited Games’ mission of video game archeology, Clockwork Aquario was given new life and released for modern platforms.

The game consists of bright pixel art and vivid colors, with three distinct characters: Huck Londo, a daring ghost hunter; Elle Moon, a brave adventuress; and Gush, a warmhearted giant robot. Players can switch between them at any point during their quest to save the world from evil forces. The gameplay involves battling monsters while collecting gems using each character’s unique abilities.

Clockwork Aquario is 2D side-scroller action platformer that has been praised for its innovative mechanics and beautiful graphics reminiscent of classic 8-bit games like Super Mario Bros or Mega Man X. Although the project was never finished by Westone Bit Entertainment due to financial difficulties in 1992, it still stands as one of the best examples of retro gaming ever created.
