All about game Band Hero
Band Hero is a spinoff video game from the popular Guitar Hero series of music rhythm games, released by Activision on November 3, 2009 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS consoles. Structurally similar to Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero features full band play (lead and bass guitar, drums and vocals), drop-in/drop-out instrument and difficulty change menus as well as additional multiplayer modes. The console versions come with instrument shaped controllers while the DS version can use either the Guitar Grip introduced with the Guitar Hero: On Tour series or a new Drum Skin that comes with the game. Like its predecessors it also includes virtual avatars of Taylor Swift, Adam Levine and No Doubt.
Critics have mixed reviews about Band Hero--while some considered it as an appropriately flavored version of GH5 for Top 40 pop rock hits; others felt that it was strictly aimed at teenagers. Furthermore they pointed out that despite being sold at full price ($60) this edition only contains 65 songs compared to 85 in GH5--which made them question if perhaps these contents should have been offered in downloadable form instead. In addition to this there were questions raised when No Doubt sued Activision after its release citing misuse of their avatar like Kurt Cobain’s avatar in GH5 had done before it.
Despite all these criticisms however many players still enjoy playing Band hero even today due to its interesting mix of musical genres which range from classic rock tunes up until current chart topping singles--making sure everyone will find something enjoyable no matter what their taste may be!
