Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the conclusion to the Metal Gear Solid V experience, directed and created by Hideo Kojima. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a video game developed by Kojima Productions, part of the Metal Gear series. It serves as the prologue to its larger second segment, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and as such it provides an introduction to the story and gameplay mechanics that will be featured in this second segment. Players control Big Boss (codenamed Snake), who must infiltrate a Cuban prison camp in order to rescue two prisoners held captive there. The game features open-world elements, allowing players to explore their environment freely and use stealth tactics or brute force when necessary. Additionally, side missions are available for completion offering unique rewards upon successful completion.
