Resistance 2 is a video game that continues the fight against the Chimera invasion of Europe. Players take on the role of Sgt. Resistance: Retribution is a third person action-adventure game set in the weeks after Resistance: Fall of Man. Players take on the role of former British Marine, James Grayson, who goes on a vendetta to destroy Chimeran conversion centers after he is forced to kill his own brother inside one. Eventually Grayson learns that these efforts have been futile and joins forces with European resistance group Maquis in Operation Overstrike as they wage war against the Chimera to retake Europe. The game features over 10 different types of enemies including both familiar Chimera from previous games as well as newer ones like Hag and Cloven. There are also intense 8 player multiplayer modes available via ad-hoc or infrastructure with 5 different game modes such as Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Containment and Assimilation.
