IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey is a video game based on the large-scale aerial combat and ground military operations during World War II. Players have five different theatres to engage in - The Battle of Britain, Stalingrad, Berlin, Sicily and Korsun' - representing the main airborne battles of WW2 in Europe. The game features hundreds of airplanes taking part in air battles and a unique environmental engine which produces highly detailed realistic landscapes allowing players to see breathtaking ground support actions. Additionally, there is an all new damage effects engine as well as advanced environmental visuals enriching the gaming experience with real time damage such as holes in wings or trail lines during dog fights.
