Wasteland 2: Director's Cut is the direct sequel to the first ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG, Wasteland. The original Wasteland was an incredibly groundbreaking game and has been recognized by IGN as one of the top 25 PC games of all time, Computer Gaming World naming it Adventure Game of the Year in 1988 and being shortlisted for inclusion in a Smithsonian exhibition. Set in a dangerous post-apocalyptic world, players would receive promotions, acquire skills and equipment and face challenges with outcomes that changed depending on how they were defeated - all while having to make difficult moral choices which affected their storyline. Wasteland 2: Director's Cut looks to recapture this same experience with all its challenging rewards but enhanced with modern gaming capabilities. Players will be able to enjoy maximum replayability within an engaging story along with new additions such as split party tactical considerations allowing them more strategic control over their decisions.
