Norn9: Var Commons is a video game that follows the story of child prodigy Sorata Suzuhara, who finds himself in turn of the century Japan after hearing a mysterious song. He meets a girl and she invites him to board an aircraft that flies using technology beyond his imagination. There, he discovers 12 passengers -- 3 young women and 9 men -- all with special powers, undertaking some kind of journey at the behest of The World. When their ship is attacked by unknown forces, Sorata must uncover the mystery behind this mission as well as The World's true identity while seeing through each passenger's point-of-view.
