Yakuza, known as Ryu Ga Gotoku in Japan, is an action-adventure video game that follows the story of Kiryu Kazuma - a former rising star in the Yakuza who has just been released from prison after serving 10 years for murder. He finds himself caught up with a missing $100 million and mysterious girl named Haruka. In order to unravel the complex web of truth and lies surrounding the notorious organization and stay alive, he must fight using his fists and wits. Combat mechanics have been created specifically for this game where players can string together attack combinations to take out multiple enemies on street battles while also defending Yakuza territory. Weapons are available to crush opponents as well as shakedown delinquent debtors by grabbing them before delivering final blows when heat gauge is maximized. The status gauge can be customized so players can increase strength, stamina and skills through combat.
