The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is a role-playing video game set on the Zemurian continent. Players take on the role of Rean Schwarzer, an elite student at Thors Military Academy, who has been selected to join Class VII - a newly formed class comprised of students from both noble and commoner backgrounds. The characters must work together to overcome their differences and hone their skills in order to protect their country from those intent on plunging it into war. The game features tactical turn-based battles where timing and distance can make all the difference between victory or defeat, as well as Combat Links that allow players to link two characters in battle for unique synergies between them.
