In Mars: War Logs, players take control of Roy Temperance, a renegade with multiple talents on the red planet over a century after catastrophe threw it into chaos. Water is now the most precious resource and companies fight for its control in a perpetual war. Players develop Roy's combat style by choosing from dozens of skills and perks and use dynamic real-time combat to survive against enemies on Mars. The crafting system allows for modification of equipment to gain an advantage over adversaries. Dialogue choices, actions and decisions made will alter the fate of people Roy interacts with as well as all colonies on Mars.
