All about game Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner is the sequel to 2001's Zone of the Enders and features an improved mecha combat experience. Players take control of Orbital Frame Jehuty, a powerful mech with more weaponry than in its prequel, as they battle against BAHRAM forces. Set two years after the events from Zone of the Enders, Dingo Egret must work alongside Ken Marinaris to defeat Ridley Nohman Hardiman who seeks his return with him.
The game was directed by Shuyo Murata, who producer Hideo Kojima appointed in order to provide a different experience from its predecessor. This resulted in The 2nd Runner having more action elements while also addressing criticism received by Zone of the Enders and providing an overall better gaming experience for fans.
The game received generally favorable critical response due to improvements it has over its predecessor. Critics praised its graphics and gameplay elements but criticized its short length and presentation which could have been improved upon further. Despite this however, sales for The 2nd Runner were not strong enough for Konami to develop another installment for their series (although 2012 saw a re-release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as part of their HD Collection).
Overall, Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner provides gamers with an enjoyable mecha combat experience that builds upon what made its prequel great while introducing various new elements into play as well - making it worth playing even today if you are looking for something unique that stands out from other games released during this time period!
